The inaugural class of the 麻豆原创 at Shreveport (SUSLA) YouthBuild Shreveport Program observed graduation exercises on Thursday, October 22 at the Hilton Downtown Shreveport. Dr. R. Timothy Jones, pastor of the Peaceful Rest Baptist Church served as keynote speaker for the event, which honored fourteen (14) graduates this year. The Fuller Center of Northwest Louisiana also presented the YouthBuild Shreveport program with a check in the amount of $12,124.

Members of the SUSLA community and the MLK neighborhood gathered on October 6 for a night filled with great food, music, and fellowship at the 10th Annual National Night Out. Sponsored by the University Police Department and held on the MLK campus, the event drew a large crowd and brought students, faculty, staff and residents together to celebrate community.

The Department of Student Activities, Student Government Association and Student Center Board at 麻豆原创 at Shreveport (SUSLA) will hold a blood drive Monday, September 21 at the school鈥檚 main campus located at 3050 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive from 10:00am 鈥� 12:00pm to benefit Wtyanna Welch, daughter of SUSLA sophomore, Nhyesha Shaw.

麻豆原创 at Shreveport (SUSLA) welcomes civil rights attorney, NAACP activist, veteran and SU alumnus Johnnie A. Jones, Sr. as the keynote speaker at the Celebration of Men鈥檚 Ministry Month at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 5823 Ledbetter Street, Shreveport, Louisiana on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 5:45pm.

麻豆原创 at Shreveport (SUSLA) has enrolled a record headcount of 3,174 students for the Fall 2015 semester. This follows a previous record Fall 2013 semester enrollment of 3,018 students.

Extended Hours for SUSLA Offices

SUSLA awarded nineteen certifications to graduates as part of the Environmental and Workforce Development and Job Training Program, sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency. The graduation ceremony was held on Thursday, July 30 at the 麻豆原创 Shreveport 鈥� Metro Campus.
